The Forerunner 305 is lightweight and easy to use. It’s perfect for my needs. I was afraid that it would be too big for my thin wrist and too heavy for longer runs. I was wrong on both counts. It’s well worth the expense.

This is my first Apple anything and I got the Ipod 32G 3rd generation touch. Downloaded the 4.0 software for free. Shipping was quick even selecting the free shipping. I can get Yahoo and Juno emails which was important to me. I just use a few apps but they are quick. The music sounds good with an aftermarket headset I had. I put it in a DLO leather hip case which looks sleek and keeps it cushioned for airline travel. Happy so far.

I recently purchased a Kindle for my mother in law for her 50th birthday! We wanted to get her something she would love and enjoy. She calls at least once a week letting us know the new books she’s purchased and how much she uses her Kindle. We couldn’t be more happy with the outcome of this gift. However, I am a little disappointed that I am not seeing commercials about the black Kindle for only $139 when I paid $169 for a refurbished white one. But all in all it was a great purchase.

I would like to also take this opportunity to caution buyers about using your credit card online. After purchasing the Kindle off of Amazon my debit card number was stolen and used to purchase vehicle warranties totalling over $1000. I would strongly urge people to make their purchases through paypal and not your everyday account.

Great book. Love the way it was written. Received my order earlier than when the vendor said I would.

My wife and I each have a 305, and I have a number of running partners who own them as well, and every one of us have had a malfunction of the units: buttons that stop working, alerts that won’t beep, units that stop functioning altogether. The smallest repair out of warranty, at least in Canada, is $94, and you have to pay $40 up front for them to even look at it, and that is not refundable when they tell you that they can’t find anything wrong. When they’re working they’re great, but be ready to buy a new one every other year.

I was surprised, as a 40-year-old woman, reading this book aloud to my young daughter (skipping parts, too), to find myself consumed, sneaking off into the kitchen to read ahead under the guise of doing laundry, etc. Obviously, my position was embarrassing, plus the book was conventionally suspense-heavy and light on literary values; I thought of the middle-aged magazine editor who put it this way: Twilight..always and unapologetically.

As a middle-aged woman, I have the inner resources to analyze my entanglement, to process my response and to cool the fire of addiction. Yet, as a middle-aged woman, the book was more devastating to me than a teen girl could know. Because I know from experience that youth and beauty are irretrievably lost, that you will never find that kind of perfect, melting, life-in-death love (if only all teen boys were really 100 years old and listened to classical music in their Volvos!) but, at best, will rather muddle through humanly with a good man. That, on the other hand, you might not want a perfect love, consuming and obstructing at the same time. That no one will ever “see” you or care about your every breath in the way Edward cares for Bella, not even your mother, even if you’re lucky, and as you age you realize everyone is so consumed with survival and ego, they have no resources left. That, all things considered, there are other profound consolations that come with aging, such as the development of inner resources. But it was the longing for the numinous in an everyday world that upset me the most.

Ultimately, I’m happy that this book is so female-centric in its eros, the slow smoulder that no longer is culturally justified. Young girls should hope to build a life with someone who cherishes them. The teen wish-fulfillment and weaker aspects of the book, such as Bella’s neediness evaporate next to this positive. Warning, this unit is riddled with so many problems, I can’t even get customer service to reply. The auto reply says they are swamped with complaints, once they did respond, but only to the part of no manual, sent a link, but it was not the correct one, they chose to ignore all the problems with the unit. Addresses are way off, some as much as a mile. Many roads are not on the unit, even with the latest update some neighborhood that are 3-5 years old do not exist. It shows roads that do not exist? Unit consistantly picks much longer, time consuming routes. Many streets are misnamed, many roads have county number on the gps, yet the road has had a name for 15 years. Told me to go straight at a fork in the road? One road, probably 15 miles long, unit said it had no numbers for the road, so you had to ride for miles looking at mail boxes, and yes, it was a old road, places had been there for many years.
Memory is almost full, and there is no memory slot to add more, very poor planning. It is slow updating your actual speed. You have to set the time, but other brands do this for you. Road name only show up a few seconds, leaving no time to plan on turning. Speed limit is useless, only good mainly on interstate, yet other brands have speed limits on secondary roads. Going down the ramp to get on a interstate, it says to turn left? Guess thats why all those slow drivers are in the left lane! Can’t delete individual temp go to locations, have to delete all. Has several nice voices, yet only compter voice gives street names. They don’t even have a manual for this unit. I could go on, as there are about a dozen other issues with this brand, but save yourdelf the trouble, get something else. These are just a few of the problems found in the first 2 weeks,Ok, its not all bad, 5″ screen is nice, volume is better than many, now, only if it could get me there. I had to order a different brand as this one could not get me to most places. My new Garmin gets me there.

I usually can’t tolerate things sitting on the dash and reflecting in the window – but this doesn’t bother me and it’s so handy to take a quick view without taking my eyes off the road. I now have one for each auto we own. It’s easy to snap off the garmin if I want to take it with me … or hide the whole unit away. The units arrived quickly after purchasing.

Nice variety of patterns. The patterns are in order of difficulty, and there is something for every level of quilter.
